The Titchmarsh Building!
The Rose is called New Dawn and smells heavenly. I planted it because Alan Titchmarsh told me to! I spoke to him a few years ago at a gardening show and mentioned I had an ugly-but-necessary shed and terrible soil. 'Try New Dawn,' was his advice. 'It's a beautiful, tolerant, disease-resistant climber and it smells divine.' Music to my ears...especially the 'tolerant' bit. 'Oh and paint the shed a pretty colour,' he added, 'If you can't get rid if it, make it a feature.'
So here is the rose, a few years later and gradually, in spite of the terrible position it's in, taking over my (prettily painted) shed.
Thanks Alan :-)
