Poor House

This is the old Hilton Hospital in Inverness, formerly the Poor House and a few years ago converted (like so many of these grand old buildings) into flats. The "porch" on the right is the old gateway with the date 1860. Now blocked up and makes for an upmarket bus stop. This is often the view facing me as I go home but only now have I stopped to take a photo. And it's one of a number of sites (and sights) that make me kick myself every time I pass for not taking a shot before the change.
