Gertrude Jekyll

I have been meaning to post a picture of this deliciously scented lady but other flowers kept calling for my attention. Today after the rain she is particularly pretty. We have had a very dry few months this year and the garden is parched - especially as it is mostly sand. It is a constant battle to provide more compost to top up the organic material and keep some water in the soil.
