Yoga in the City

New York appears to make good use of urban green spaces. Many squares provide free wifi, act as venues for outdoor yoga and Tai chi classes, outdoor movie theatres, poetry recitals, and music concerts.

This picture shows Bryant Park which is a few blocks from Times Square and next door to the New York Public Library.

I did not join in with the yoga class but had a fun time people watching. Children also took part in this evening class...and the youngest member was a two year old little girl. She seemed well versed with the various yoga postures so clearly not a newcomer.

Bryant Park is a super place to hang out if one is going to the theatre - as I was. Went to see 'Race'...Eddie Izzard and the rest of the cast were good but I was not particularly thrilled with the script or the general storyline....it was rather flat, full of cliches about racial boundaries and racial stereotypes...boring...zzzz
