Grassmarket Puffin
For Maggie - who has been complaining that I hardly ever write anything anymore.
I've had a very Cafe kind of day today, it's been most pleasant indeed :o)
Claire and I were going to walk along the Water of Leith this morning and take lots of pics of the fab Antony Gormley statues. But alas, it chucked it down and there was no way we were tramping through the undergrowth in the rain. We decided to go for lunch instead and had a very nice cuppa and a toastie in Florentine in Stockbridge. The sun had actually emerged while we were inside, but we were most distrustful of it and it had forecast on t'internet that there would be rain again this afternoon, so we reckoned our best bet was to head back to C's and catch up on True Blood.
Much better plan ;)
It didn't actually rain again, infact it was gorgeous sunshine all afternoon....but, well, better safe than wet....
Later on I met up with my friend Mary in Tea Tree. It was lovely to see her and it's been ages since we last met for coffee so we had a proper big catch up. Eerily though as we were chatting we found ourselves increasingly surrounded by knitters. Eventually there were so many of them that we were backed into a corner and unable to escape. They wanted our seats too, but they didn't quite ask us to move, they just got closer and closer. Trapped by knitters.
Scary.
Managed to climb over them after a couple of hours and they swarmed right over our seats as if we'd never been there.....
ps. As might be slightly obvious by now I'm just a wee tiny bit obsessed by windows and reflections at the moment!
