Such a shame

I pass this house at least once a day, and always feel saddened by it's state of decay.

It was built in 1883, and was a family home. I remember many years ago when the house was up for sale, I think it finally got sold at auction in the end.

Every now and then, someone comes and chops all the trees down around the property (probably to let the elements do their work), and a few more slates are taken off the roof. If this happened in a country with less historic buildings, there would be an uproar, but not here.

If the decay isn't halted, one day I'll pass and there will just be a pile of rubble.

It's such a shame.... (Rant over)
