Neglected Skylight

My first outing of the morning saw the heavens practising their rainfall technique:a gentle smirr of rain falling from an unusually dark-for-this-time-of-morning sky. On my return outing, the technique had been perfected and it was heavy rain which resulted in a soaking.
The darkness of the hour unfortunately reminds me that the light early mornings are on their way out. How sad is that.

Rain not withstanding, the family and I decided to drive down the scenic route to North Berwick for lunch at the Seabird Centre.
The tide was out as we drove through Musslelburgh, Prestonpans, Port Seton, Longniddry and Aberlady. The boats were all stranded on thick mud and leaning at all angles, while the shore seeming to stretch right over to Fife.

Although the rain had all but stopped by the time we got to lunch, the powers that be hadn't the tables outside so we had to sit behind glass to eat our soup and paninis.

But it was all very enjoyable and after a walk round the harbour and a lurch from charity shop to charity shop along the High Street for daughter#3 to try and get herself a bargain, it was home for the self same daughter to have a rest after all her late nights.
I tell you this younger generation have not got the stamina they would like.
Having said that she intends to run around Arthur's Seat later, so maybe the stamina is of a different variety.

The unfortunate thing about the visit to North Berwick is the absence of any postable blips. I was stupid enough to forget to change my iso from the 3200 I had been using to get the blip of the roof skylight taken earlier. Another lesson learned.
