The Tree House

This is the 7.5 ft. paper and plastic tree that hangs on the wall in my apartment year-round (hence the name we like to call our abode--The Tree House). My best friend and I love it very much and plan to make it our Christmas tree.

I also have an individual reason to love it. You see, I am not an audacious person. In fact, aside from those who know me rather well, I am quite shy.

I acquired this tree by courageously walking into the local American Eagle and asking for it. It had been a decorative display piece in the window for the duration of the summer, and I had noticed it many times. So, as soon as I noticed them changing the clothes on the mannequins in the window, I thought...this is my chance!

And I did it!

Since then, as silly as it seems, I have noticed myself getting a little braver in lots of different situations. Asking the new neighbors for butter, rejecting cold food at restaurants. I've even caught some bugs and taken them outside!
