Ringed Plover

Out and about again today. Was early, as usual, for my meeting so took a tour of an industrial estate and spotted a pair of ringed Plovers. Certain this one is sitting on eggs which is maybe a bit late but maybe trying for a second brood. Anyone who watched Springwatch on BBC2 this year would have seen the Jackdaws stealing eggs and young Plovers so hopefully this won't befall this pair. Will have to worry about Skua's and Gulls but they were very well camouflaged. It pays to have the 300mm lens in the car. The car makes a great birdhide.
