999!

today i had to call 999 :(

Steve and i were on our way back from an appointment with the wheelchair service to get a new wheel chair for annie, and we turned a corner to see a micra pushing an astra sideways along the road!

we stopped to make sure the passengers were ok, the elderly couple (not married, he was taking her on a hot date from the old people's home to the local garden centre, he 89, she 78!!!), she was evidently in shock, so i called the ambulance to come and check them both over, then i saw liquid pouring from under the car and assumed it was petrol, it was just radiator fluid thankfully!

we took care of the couple (the astra driver was seemingly ok, but a little pissed off!) and the lady was not impressed with her date's actions!

i have since heard from the gentleman's sister who said he was back at the home, as was his 'friend' and to say thanks for stopping.

this was the only photo Steve would let me take, he muttered something about it being inappropriate....spoilsport!!!!

the firemen were hot though! :D
