Mt Ruapehu

Stayed at Lake Taupo this morning so todays mission was the drive to Turoa, on the southern flanks of Mt Ruapehu (the other side to this).

As often happens, the weather is different one side to the other. It was cloudy, coly and drizzly. And they were trying to fly a new tower up for one of their lifts. Not ideal.

No skiing, it was a work day, and lots of discussion on how to best represent the mountain online.

Then a 350km drive back to Auckland, made it in good time 3.45 hrs. Now in the Koru Club waiting for the plane home.

Glass of red wine, nice food, actually, maybe I'll stay here ;-)
