cracking open a coconut is surprisingly fun. they taste horribly bad though. the drips were the best part. glad I am not stuck on a deserted island with no other choices though. I'd go all stephen king (I forget the story's name, survival maybe?) where the guy chops up himself from the feet up and eats it for lack of anything else.
