Waterslides

Today after swim lessons I went and picked up Liam's best friend, Cody. We all went to lunch and then I took them all to the Gora Aquatic Center in Galt. That is one of the favorite summer places of my boys. They have 2 small waterslides, a kiddie pool with 'mushrooms' and an olympic-sized swimming pool. I bribed Landon to take the swim test to see if he could make it to the edge after going down the slide. I was really proud when he decided to take the test and passed. He went to the top of the slide with a little bit of fear and came down. Then he repeated it about 20 times more! I had to follow through on my bribery and had daddy pick up Sour Patch Kids on the way home. On our way home from Galt I treated them all to smoothies. I wasn't feeling well this morning but prayed I would do o.k. with them all. God answered prayer and got me through today. Yay!!! It was a wonderful summer day.

Last night Gary made a yummy meal of BBQ chicken & corn on the cob and then we watched Wipeout. Watching a bunch of people make it through a ridiculous obstacle course of boxing gloves on springs and hopping across moving obstacles makes it the mindless entertainment I perhaps need at the end of the day. What a crazy show!
