Elderflower

These are finally coming into bloom in our hedge now. I noticed that while the horses will maul all manner of spiky plants in the hedge they leave these well alone - possibly because according to Wikipedia the "leaves, twigs, branches, seeds and roots contain a cyanide producing glycoside. Ingesting any of these parts in sufficient quantity can cause a toxic build up of cyanide in the body" ..
