He Who Snoozes Loses...

These are the eggs in a previous blip (some time in May) that now have hatched. I couldn't get too close because I didn't want to disturb the mother chick relationship - so the blip was taken on a zoom from about a metre away.

There are four chicks - one more active and hungry than the others - I don't know the statistics but the nest is really small and there isn't enough room for all four of them as they grow - so at least one or two will not make it.

Survival of the fittest, or as my wife puts it: he who snoozes loses...
