It's a finch, and it's green

Carduelis chloris? That's right! The finch that is green or Greenfinch...


Gaaah, a heavy day of gardening in the hot sun. When I was spiking our friend's lawn before watering it, my watch-strap broke; in fact one of the wee lugs that the strap fits on to, so it's unfixable :(

Consequently I have been looking at the tan-line on my wrist about 5 times an hour. It's so annoying.

Not a very good image today, as the sun was in a funny place (bloody celestial mechanics). The important thing was that I shot it in RAW and managed to upload it into GIMP using UFRAW.

A hell of a lot of fuss, can't see any advantage to it really...still, not too bad embiggened ;)
