Ninny Salad

It's a long way down!

The Hoover Dam (nee Boulder Dam but renamed in 1947 for President Herbert Hoover). It is HUGE and absolutely spectacular. A few facts:... it is 221m high, 200m thick at its base, 379m wide at the crest and weighs 6.6 million tonnes. It took 4 years to construct at a cost of $175m (exciting facts courtesy of Time Out and Lonely Planet guides!). It is truly amazing.
