The Dunk is Slammed

Had to go to the branch to sort out my inability to log in using my security device, which I have had for 3 months.

The three details i need to enter are two from the device and one from the chequebook (3 digits from my phone number). Showed the woman in the branch that it didn't work so she dialled the help number I had been using. Eek, but my security details, I keep getting them wrong. Its Ok, she says I have your details on the screen.

At that point I realise she hasn't actually ascertained that I am who I say I am but I do have the security device and a chequebook.

So we run through it and the voice at the other end says we don't have a phone number connected to this account. So despite the number on the check book and on the screen they don't have it linked to the internet and yet they still sent the device out - knowing I could never activate it.

The World's local bank will stay that way
