Scope

This is through one of the 'scopes' (?) of some binoculars at the Junior Inter-Regional Orienteering Relay Championships (JIRCs). The picture was taken at the edge of the competition area about 700m from the runners in the picture.
I didn't take this, in fact I took no pictures this weekend but its of me! The only problem is i'm behind the tree...

I didn't have an exceptional run because it was too hilly for me but I got the Yorkshire Boys Team 2 (Yorkshire Squad) in 1 and a half minutes down on the leader of the first leg. Luckily the second and third leg runners had much better runs and managed to bring our team in 2 minutes in the lead, we won!

It was a brilliant end to a brilliant weekend.

For those that may be confused, Orienteering is the sport of using a map to get round a course the fastest, it is normally done in a time-trial format. In the relay, the 'legs' (courses the 1st, 2nd and 3rd runners run) are 'gaffled' which means that they will be different so runners cant follow each other but still run the same distance. The relay leg I did was 4km. And I ran 5km because the straight line route is not always the quickest route

Yesterday and today were both back-blipped please have a look, ta.
