Rachelsmom and I played hooky this afternoon because we were "on a mission": We went in search for curtains, or for fabric to makes curtains, if we couldn't find what Rachelmom was envisioning for the lake house. They have been working for months now, from roof to basement, to return the "summer house" to its glory 40 years ago. They have spent too much work to settle for less!

Success! We found some curtains that will do just fine.. and we bought fabric to make the rest.

The day was a bonus for me, in more ways than one.
We are only making some of the curtains, the smaller ones at that, so we should be able to get them made in plenty of time - it's a do-able project, not overwhelming.
I got a day to play, to select fabric, to see her vision, and to work out details to make it work.
I got to enjoy this beautiful drive, and share the day with one of my beautiful people, always good for what ails me.
And I get to look forward to another day when we finish the project and put wonderful curtains up at the lake house (and spend more time discussing our plans for the reunion, of course)
