Sun-Moon Door

We took a hike through the pine forest of a former US camp today. We walked through trails that went up and around the still untouched areas of what used to be a rest and recreation base of American military men assigned in the Far East. A couple of hours into our trek , just outside the base gates, there was this tiny inn with these beautiful doors. From afar it seemed like some astrological design carved into the heavy wood, a sun to the left and a moon to the right. Mounted against an eye-catching orange wall, passersby just have to pause and take a quick look. To complete the scene was a 5-foot long antique cannon which I failed to bring into the photo.
