Wall leaves

The previous owner of this house had the idea of gluing leaves onto the hall wall before painting. I thought it looked quite effective, but everyone who has come round has said "Ooh, those are going to be hard to get off when you decorate." Well, I didn't have any intention of removing them before they said that, but now I'm not so sure. However, I won't get around to painting the hall for quite some while so it's not a decision I have to make just yet.
