Pans reenactment

Yesterday, we went to the Pans to celebrate the 257th anniversary of the famous Battle of Prestonpans. There was all sorts of stuff on, not least a reenactment of the battle at Bankton House. I didn't think I'd be a massive fan of reenactments but this one had its own comical charm. All of the Jacobites were Czech and were staying in tents, eating out of wooden bowls and taking the getting into the whole thing.

We went into town later and this is a pic of the totem pole that stands in Prestonpans.
