White or Pink
I visited the new botanic garden in Kumpula again. It is a gorgeous place, very pretty and very tranquil. More like a park than a garden. The idea behind this botanic garden was to gather plants from all parts of the world from the similar types of "bioclimatic zones", similar to southern Finland I mean. That would make it more likely for the plants to survive in Helsinki. Actually the whole garden is a 6 hectare test for proving if this theory works in practice. Very enjoyable test lab I would say!
This is a species of Dianthus, neilikat in Finnish. I surprised myself in learning that in English they are called Pinks. Even when the colour of the flower is not pink!
