D is for Deutschland

I watched today's England match in the company of Keir, Emma and Murphy.  The first game of the World Cup I've actually been looking forward to and excited about.  The best bit was the reaction of the pundits afterwards.

I wouldn't mind an England win were it not for the over-hyping from the media and some of the comments from the team.  The team were World Cup winners before the tournament, Fabio was to be sacked after the first two matches, and knighted after the third.  David James had this one down as 'just another game' on the road to the final.

The England defence could learn a bit from Murphy.  He doesn't let go of the ball at all.  Although with our excited yelping, he was a quivering wreck by the end of the match, as if he didn't know what had hit him... much like John Terry!  :)
