Wood..
On a very pleasant yet lazy sunday morning, against all my wanting to go out and capture a photo, from my bed out through my window i took this picture of the cycle barn and the young twisted tree. I could not attach any particular significance to the pic, except that i liked what i took :D .. But apart from that what crossed my mind was the thought of 'Wood'.
Wood as the bark of a tree or a branch gives a so much more different feeling than maybe a barn made of wood. When you come across a tree, one gets the urge of running our hands across its trunk like it were some living thing, and needs some tender hands running on it. Its just an instinctive feeling. But you would'nt do that if you saw the same used to build something! It feels like the wood has so much more life when it is a part of a tree. It smells different (especially during rains!), it feels different and there are other living things that actually survive on that wood. Its not the same when it is cut off and used to make something..
Amazing how 'so much like living ' things seem lifeless when it is no more a part of its own system.
