Don't Want Eny
It was with some trepidation that the family headed out this evening for a meal to celebrate mum's birthday. My brother-in-law, he of the naturally caustic and self-effacing wit, suggested an Italian restaurant in nearby Johnstone.
I blipped the scorched mill a couple of weeks ago, and to be honest, this town doesn't really have a lot happening in it these days, mainly due to the recession that's hit many similar suburban towns. Much of it is boarded up and very tired-looking.
However, the restaurant was buzzing (not just with the annoying fly that took up residence around my head for the duration) with loads of diners, delicious food and a fine ambience. All of us were suitably sated and left the restaurant somewhat over-satisfied.
A top night!
