House Martins

The end of the week's holiday, and back home to a fast broadband connection :)

We had a great time; wonderful weather and fantastic walks and wildlife!
The house where we stayed (very remote) had been found by these house martins, nearly every window had a little mud nest stuck to the upper corner, and the birds zoomed about our heads every time we left the front door...
I've no idea why this TV aerial was on the house, except to act as a martin perch, 'cos there was no reception at all ;)

First order of business on return was to dash up to the allotment to water the poor courgette plants. Amazingly, they had all survived a dry week, though the weeds were in danger of taking over!
