Frankenbuzz

Today, we went to see a man about a boat. Well, not really. We talked to a guy who is selling his boat, and he said "go check her out" and so we did.

How can I put this? Hubby's bubble has burst. The boat was less than impressive. It looked so good in the photo, and we imagined it a little bigger than it is. I suppose it was in OK condition, but it definitely needs some cleaning. Hubby had such a pouty face as we were walking away from the dock.

Thank goodness for Frank & Buzz (every time I say it, it comes out "Frankenbuzz"), two Amazon parrots who were hanging out at the marina with their owner, Arnold. This here is Buzz. The birds were chatting & laughing up a storm, and totally show-boating for anybody and everybody who wanted to stop and say hi to them. Apparently Arnold started out with Frank, who he agreed to watch for a couple of days for a friend. A couple days turned into a couple weeks, which turned into 21 years. They definitely helped hubby get over his disappointment over the boat. At least for a little while.
