My Garden Club cooked up a small project for viewing in our town library today and for a town-wide celebration tomorrow. Most of us were not thrilled with the prospects of trying to keep the hat-like arrangements alive, but grudgingly agreed like good sports. Grumbling started all over when we saw the Twiggy-like wig stand heads we had to work with! Really, I think they caused us all bad beauty parlor nightmares.

So, luckily I had a Certified Feline Floral Assistant to lend a paw and give the final once over and celebratory kiss. My beret-topped head joined the others and I think the project did end up being a whimsical success, but we've tried not to let it go to our heads.
