Wildlife sanctuary bird

Day 4 of our road trip through Oregon. Today we toured some of the Lower Klamath National Wildlife Sanctuary. Only we didn't have our binoculars or bird book with us, as we didn't plan on this! There were too many mosquitoes to venture out too far. But we were close enough to capture this American avocet.
