USA Victory!

This is Landon Donovan, overcome with emotion after scoring the American team's only goal in the 91st minute to defeat Algeria and advance to the second round of the football World Cup.

Donovan is playing in his 3rd World Cup, having played 126 times and scored 46 goals for the national team--this was surely his most important. The team had many chances against the Algerians, even appearing to score at one point, but the goal was whistled back for offside--another dubious call recalling the one which cost us the win in the first game against Slovenia. What a relief!
