Mrs L

I travel from Liverpool to Preston most weeks to play Bridge (or try to) and to have a go at playing Big marbles ...bowls at the Broughton and District Club. In the afternoon I visit Mrs L. Mrs L was my Mum's neighbour 15 years ago and is now in a home. When I showed her her photograph I took she remarked..."don't I look Old" she is 92. If you closed your eyes when you chatted to her she could be anything from 30 years old upwards. A very wise woman, great sense of Humour, goes out for walks and to the shops...I can't keep up with her as she walks so fast. When I was a kid she was tall and I looked up to her in every way....now she is barely as tall as me when I am sitting down. Shame our exteriors change and decay yet minds are young and active. I have never called her by her first name.....always Mrs L.
