Cumbernauld Theatre

It may not look like a theatre but it is.

Back in the early 1960s a small group of people took over some abandoned farm cottages and turned them into what was known at that time as the Cottage Theatre.

The main theatre then opened in 1969, and in the 1970s the name was changed to the Cumbernauld Theatre. Over the years it has built up an excellent reputation.

Its not exactly on my doorstep but I have been to a few shows in it and also to a wedding reception. Nice place.
