An' the band played on....

...school BBQ today, up at 6.30am receiving a shipment of cheap beer from the Tesco night shift worker; all above board. Next spray painting sheets with BBQ advertisements to be hung outside the gates before the kids arrived at 8.30am.

Pretty busy day, more so because I was taking calls from work, even although I had the day off to get the BBQ set-up. Got there in the end despite the now customary supply problems, we served up 514 burgers and 20 mackerels in buns....almost 600 people walked through the gate. Clearly the 23C and blue sky played a major part. and we sold out of beer and wine with 30mins to go.

This is Dougie, he played some top beats with his excellent band; more African than Scottish and perfect for creating a mellow vibe. Cheers man.

Now sitting with my sore feet up and supping a chilled Chardonnay. I didn't even get to eat any of the food!!
