Something calming.
The day did not start off well. We had to get down to Glasgow for a hospital appointment at ten and despite the road (non) works we were making OK time - until we got to the Friarton Bridge at Perth.. An accident had stopped the traffic completely and the detour through the city took ages.
However, thanks to the daughter's "super efficient" surgeon we made it on time - his clinic was already running an hour over. Could easily have forgiven that - until we met him! I'm not going to bore you with the details, I could go on for hours but he was rude, overbearing and patronising. The other half later remarked that whole thing would have made a great training video for students - on how NOT to behave towards patients!
Anyway, followed by a pleasant lunch and a trip to see the daughter's new flat - which has an amazing view over the Clyde. Two lovely new flat mates too. If you are reading this, it was really nice to meet you both!
Caught this from the car on the way home. Neither this image nor the words convey the horrors of that hospital visit at all well, but sometimes it is good to look at something calming, take a deep breath and shrug off the rubbish of the day.
