Today I had the pleasure of meeting Greg Girard, a photographer for National Geographic. Would have loved to have taken his portrait but I was much too shy.

Three years ago he had an interesting series based in Shanghai about the on going demolition of old buildings and houses in China. By chance I found a tv documentary on him as I was flicking through channels months ago. It was quite good timing too as he had just come back to Shanghai from London when I emailed him.

After our meeting I spotted this dead rat on the sidewalk. As I was setting up for the shot, a cheeky fellow pretended to pick it up and throw it at a pair of startled ladies!
