Common wood pigeon.

Despite the many legions of grey pigeons, the rather noisy and destructive gulls and the odd rat that populate my part of Edinburgh, a few of these are starting to drop by. Like posh students though I suspect they won't be staying long.

I do like them pan-fried with Stornaway black pudding and apple, served with a blackcurrant jus, but maybe that's just me.
