Father's Day

Took the Daddy and the Grandaddy to Blackness Castle today for their Father's Day outing.

Blackness Castle is about 30 minutes along the M9 from us and despite it's closeness this was my first visit to it and also the Grandaddy's first visit...we've certainly been missing out...it's a great castle.

It sits on the banks of the Forth at Blackness. There were plenty of places for the boys to climb and rooms to explore. We took a picnic lunch with us, then wandered round the castle. You get some fantastic views along the Forth.

After we had explored the castle for a couple of hours we had a drink and some strawberries on the lawn. Finished the afternoon off with a walk along the shore...this is the Daddy and his boys...you can just see all three of them. The women folk and the Granddad walked along the road with the buggy.

It really was a fantastic day:-)
