Helianthus annuus

I put over 20 of these along our driveway to sort of provide a screen between our backyard and the neighbors. Little did I realize how big these would get. I'm 5'4"--a few of these are nearly twice my height. I guess when you live in Kansas, and the Sunflower is the state flower, perhaps you should expect them to grow fantastically? Oh well. Live and learn.
