Ayoba

"When the World Cup's in your backyard, it's Ayoba time!"

This is the catch phrase for MTN, one of the big sponsors of the Soccer World Cup. "Ayoba" is basically an expression of joy / contentment and has really caught on over here in South Africa. The advertising campaigne has also ensured a natural association of "Ayoba" with the much loved vuvuzela!

South Africa beat France 2-1 today, but it wasn't enough to see our boys through to the Round of 16. We are all very proud of them and think they did REALLY well! The World Cup may be over for Bafana, but it's definitely not over for South Africa... we're all in the process of "adopting" other countries to support, throwing our weight (and our vuvuzelas) in behind them.

Sean is seen here blowing his vuvuzela (with the SA flag), wearing a hat sporting the colours of our "adopted" team: Come on Holland, you can do it! :)
