Wood Gulls in Flight
Wood Pigeons have a lesser-known cousin, the Wood Gull. Although hampered with a stick and block of wood sticking out of their stomachs - and the fact they're made from wood - they occasionally make it to the air. A sighting of a flock of wood gulls in flight is a treat indeed.
Reminds me of an old joke:
"I used to have a wooden car. It had wooden wheels, wooden doors, a wooden windscreen and a wooden engine. I had to get rid of it though."
"Why?"
"It wooden go".
