clematis

i bought this plant last autumn when we were on holiday in aberdeenshire, came home and planted it - and then watched it get buried under snow and achingly cold winteryness. i assumed it would have died as it hadn't been in the ground long and wasn't a huge mature plant to start with, but it didn't and has instead shot up and flowered like mad. clematis montana, i salute you :-)
