Over The Road

Another milestone reached for the Eglinton Viaduct over the weekend. The support beams for the eastbound carriageway made it all the way over Eglinton Street. Looks enormous from Devon Street.

The big crane is also back working on the project, but way out east: it's currently putting the Auchenshuggle Bridge girders over the river. I might try to head out that way this week, although a recce in the car a couple of weeks back suggested that getting near the construction site isn't possible.

PS - this is a three-image stitched panorama, hence the white area bottom left. To crop it out entirely I'd have lost the road too.
