3.10 to Yuma

I finally got around to paying off the outstanding balance on my cinema card. It turns out the good folk at my local bank had cancelled my direct debit for it 6 months ago without telling me. As its such a small ammount I never noticed that it wasnt coming out of my account, until my card was eventually suspended.

Anyhow, I celebrated my new found cinema freedom by going to see 3.10 to Yuma, a film which I knew nothing about other than the fact it was about cowbows (turns out it was a remake). Anyhow, it see's our hero Christian Bale transporting our villan Russel "fighting round the world" Crowe to the train to take him to yuma prison. It was rather enjoyable, although did kinda feel like a John Wayne film directed by John Woo (massive shootout scenes for example). From what I gather, the original was mostly about the tension of the wait at the end of the film (waiting the last 2 hours for the train to arrive). Still enjoyable all the same.
