Bona Old Churchyard

Spent a very pleasant couple of hours this afternoon pottering round the area between Loch Ness and Dochgarroch on the Caledonian Canal. This image is from the churchyard labelled as Kirkton on the OS map but a sign says it is Bona Old Church. A lovely quiet peaceful graveyard snadwiched between the A82 Inverness to Fort William road and Loch Dochfour. I'm a bit of a sucker for taking pictures of gravestones and especially like the really plain ones. But this one caught my eye as a little different. The tablet is set against a wall and commemorates someone who died on passage to West Indies in 1796 and clearly related to the family at nearby Dochfour House.
