Winter Solstice : 2010
Celebrating the winter solstice, where the Sun ceases its northwards track across a southern hempishere sky and steadily returns southward to where it rightfully belongs.
Today we enjoyed a near pristine day. Nary a breath of wind, sunny, though cool as if in mockery of a madder winter.
At the time of the solstice - which in my part of the world took place after dark (a mere 'astronomical technicality') as deduced by Boffins who spend their 'sheltered' lives calculating such things, bless them - I was in the backyard lighting Sparklers, hooping and a hollering, cracking open a bottle of cheap Champagne, being disrespectfully LOUD! At the same time I was guffawing a homemade blueberry cheesecake that I had earlier baked (I bake a 'mean' cheesecake but that's about all I bake to any degree of competency). I can only imagine what my kindly Neighbours must have thought, again - though did I care, nah!
Can you 'crack' the 'meaning' of the Collage - it's pretty simple, just like me I suppose?
Apparently, this one views 'better' enlarged?
The solstice is yippee time for me!
