Ed's Memorial
I got a lot done this morning in preparation for an upcoming hiking trip and feel that I might actually be ready to go by Thursday morning.
The afternoon was spent at a memorial for one of the members of my camera club. The photo is part of the flag presentation ceremony that veterans are honored with even though their service may have occurred many years before their deaths. I didn't know Ed very well. He often made me uncomfortable, but his comments and the issues he raised made me think as well. I went to the memorial in support of his wife. It was not a religious service and was held outdoors in a municipal park. In any other year, the heat would have been unbearable, but today was somewhat cool even though it was sunny.
