yellow things

I am drawn to things that look old and weathered, and also to the colour yellow. So, perfect for me, here is an old yellow door.

I am looking into buying a first digital slr, something value for money, and I have my eye on a canon eos 1000d. If anyone has any thoughts on this or for good first slr's, do let me know, I haven't a scooby.
