Ugly side

I was really looking forward to the Brazil vs. Ivory Coast match tonight.
The golden boys of South American football vs. the hopefuls of Africa.

However entertaining a lot of the football was, and it was in spite of some of the other dull, dull games (I won't name and shame the offenders - you know who we're talking about) , it was another example of why we need some form of video replay technology in the modern game.

First Brazil get a goal, despite two yellow card-able hand-balls in the lead up to the goal.
Then, not that long later Kaka gets a second yellow card following some amateur dramatics from an Ivory Coast player.

There are four officials involved in the game and none of them spotted what the TV audience saw first time round, never mind the replays.

As for the hand-balls, nothing will happen about them.
But surely a post-match ban on the offender for the latter has to be on the cards.
